The 2018 Ford Focus RS is a high-performance yet compact car with so much to offer. This model year marks the last production of the RS. But Ford has made sure the car goes out with a bang. Here are some of the best features that the Ford Focus has to offer.

Performance
The Ford Focus includes a powerful engine that has powered earlier generations of the car. It has a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The engine features 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Added to the car’s performance is the Quaife mechanical-slip differential which helps with traction in low-grip environments.
The slip differential has been a frequent request among Ford enthusiasts. Ford also added it in part to increase the driving dynamics, and to have a drivetrain capable of delivering the best performance from the engine.
The Focus RS has a six-speed manual transmission with all-wheel drive. All-wheel drive features clutch packs that are electronically controlled with a rear bias. It also has Ecoboost which is responsive during driving. If you want the RS for speed, it goes from 0 to 62 mph in under five seconds, which is quite speedy. Bolting away from stoplights is a thrilling experience with the Focus RS.
Colors and Standard Features
To commemorate the 2018 model year, Ford rolled the car out in a new second color known as Race Red for the RS. The signature color Nitrous Blue is also available. It’s also available as a limited edition that comes with a spoiler, mirror caps, and a gloss black roof. Standard features include 19-inch painted forged alloy wheels and blue RS center caps.
In this edition, Ford mixed cool, luxury features with the standard RS2 package. It features Recaro seats, heated seats, an eight-way power driver’s seat, heated steering wheel and voice-controlled navigation. Not only is the Ford Focus RS a fast ride, it’s also a very stylish one.
Other standard features include a backup camera, selectable RS driving modes with the ability to adjust the suspension, and stability control. An 8-inch Sync 3 touch-screen infotainment system and dual-zone climate control also come with the Focus RS.
Driving
The Focus RS features a standard launch control system, which gives consistent and explosive takeoffs during acceleration. It also employs standard drift mode, making the car more agile when taking the corners. Three other driving modes exist in this model including normal, sport, and track. These modes control the car’s stability and how it reacts.
When it comes time to stop, the Ford Focus RS is responsive yet firm when tapping on the brake pedal. It’s also conveniently located between the clutch and accelerator, making it easier for racer toe-and-heel downshifts.
The Focus RS combines practicality, cool features, and fun in its last model year. People like compact cars for their drivability and ease of parking. With the standard features Ford offers on the interior, and the appeal to your inner racer on the inside, driving day-to-day just got a little more interesting.
