Houston Texas 2021 Ford BroncoThe last time a new model of the ever-popular Ford Bronco was released was 24 long years ago. Now, the old model is making way for the new and improved model, which is set to release in 2021. The exact release date is unknown at this point, but it’s clear that it will be available at all major dealerships. News of the impending release date has spread like wildfire, igniting excitement in the hearts of Bronco fans all over the world.

What Makes the New Model Superior?

For starters, it’s an updated version of the classic Bronco, which in itself is enough to induce mass intrigue. This small fact set aside, the Bronco has prominent design features that set it apart from the original and earn it a spot on many wish lists.

Improved Exterior and Body

The 2021 Bronco will be a body-on-frame, mid-size SUV with all the charm that one would expect from a Ford Bronco. It will be offered in both two and four-door models, giving buyers the freedom to choose which model works best for them. This particular model (both door configurations) will boast a removable roof and doors as well as a Raptor-style grille.

Like any great Ford, the Bronco will have a squared-off hood and feature its name written in chunky, hard-to-miss block letters. We also expect to see a full-size spare tire hanging from the back bumper and the large round headlights that all Bronco owners know and love. Overall, its general appearance will probably throw off retro vibes, which is something we can all appreciate going into the new decade.

New Features

To come close to matching the success of the previous model, the 2021 Bronco must include the most beloved features, but at the same time offer its own unique charms. We’ve seen rough sketches and prototypes of the vehicle, but Ford is doing a pretty good job of keeping the finished version of the Bronco under wraps. This being said, it’s impossible to say for sure which features will be making a return, which will be retired, and which we will see for the very first time. The suspense, as you might suspect, is slowly killing us.

In terms of functionality-based features, it looks like the Bronco will have a similar makeup to that of the Ranger pickup truck, 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder included. Alternatively, a larger V-6 might be offered. If so, it will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission system. It’s also rumored that it will include an independent front suspension with a solid rear to boot.

There are no definitive numbers when it comes to how much the 2021 Bronco will be able to tow. However, it’s unlikely that it will have a maximum threshold that is less than 7,500 pounds, seeing as the Ranger (which is its inspiration) can tow up to that much with ease. From what we can tell, the Bronco will be ideal for off-road and desert driving. As the excitement builds, we can’t wait to keep you updated on the new features of the 2021 Bronco as they are released.
