The entire underground system is approximately six miles in length and is home to coffee shops, restaurants, movie theaters, and shops. The tunnels are also a popular way to travel from one location to another without having to deal with the busy city traffic. There are numerous access points to the underground tunnels located throughout the city.

Segway Tour

Exploring the large city of Houston by foot can get tiring. Instead, consider renting a segway for the afternoon. You can rent a segway on your own or sign up for a segway guided tour and visit your favorite attractions in the city. Available tours include the Buffalo Bayou tour, the Twilight tour, the Houston History tour, and the Houston Graffiti and Street Art tour. The Orange Show

You don’t have to enjoy oranges as much as the founder of the Orange Show did to enjoy this unique attraction. The Orange Show is a 3,000 square foot Folk Art attraction that was created by Jefferson Davis McKissack in 1979. He wanted to celebrate and share his enjoyment of oranges with the public. He created a maze in the city that consists of a pond, entertainment stage, gift shop, and a wishing well.

Many of the buildings within the attraction are made with random items like wagon wheels and mannequins. The Orange Show is just one of three visionary art attractions within the area. Other worthwhile attractions to visit include the Beer Can House and Smither Park.

The Texas Shaped Lazy River

Texans enjoy showing off their pride and what better way is there to cool off in the hot Texas heat than with a giant Texas-shaped lazy river? The lazy river is located at the Marriot Marquis in downtown Houston and has become a popular attraction for both locals and tourists.

The pool was built in 2016 as a celebration for the Super Bowl and is now the world’s largest Texas-shaped pool. It is approximately 510 feet in size and is over 100 feet in the air. Grab a pool float, a cold drink, and spend the afternoon floating around Texas.
