These acts bring an irresistible rhythm to the Bayou City. Check out these four places to listen to live music this summer in Houston, Texas.

House of Blues

Head downtown to 1204 Caroline St. and discover an extravagant multi-level music hall and world-class entertainment destination. This venue adds its unique stamp on the Houston’s GreenStreet project and brings an abundance of emerging and seasoned acts to area music lovers. Catch the group “Boys Don’t Cry” on June 22, 2019, at 7 p.m.

House of Blues Houston is approximately 43,000 square feet and features the latest state-of-the-art sound and lighting technology across three stages. The main hall seats an audience of 1,500, plus there’s a private foundation room, full-service bar, and restaurant that serves up signature Southern-inspired cuisine. There’s also a dance floor and a seated balcony to catch the show.

Dosey Doe

What’s better than a groovy place to listen to original country bands? How about one that’s housed inside a 160-year-old tobacco barn with excellent acoustics? Get ready for an old-fashioned barn dance at Dosey Doe, located at 25911 I-45 N. Filled with Americana memorabilia, the barn has been engaging crowds and keeping music legends alive for years. Head out to this honky-tonk on June 15 and catch Prophets and Outlaws on the stage at 8:30 p.m.

Dosey Doe was voted “Best Breakfast in the Woodlands for 2019,” and the food is definitely worth checking out. This scratch-kitchen dishes up all your classic Texas favorites, such as Gulf shrimp pasta, chicken-fried-chicken, and venison tacos. Seasonal specials on their ever-changing menu are always a delicious choice.

Revention Music Center

Part of the Bayou Place entertainment complex redevelopment at 520 Texas Ave, Revention Music Center opened its doors in 1997 and has hosted major entertainers ever since. This bi-level, indoor theater’s state-of-the-art sound system makes it a terrific place to hear your favorite group.

It’s an intimate venue with the ability to host up to 3,464 guests and offers a more personal experience than larger theaters. Don’t miss Pancho Barraza as he takes the stage on June 22. The doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts promptly at 8 p.m.

Miller Outdoor Theatre

Located in scenic Hermann Park, at 6000 Hermann Park Dr., Miller Outdoor Theatre hosts a variety of acts. Pack up the kids and see an unforgettable performance of the all-new musical “Junie B.’s Essential Guide to Surviving School” on June 13 at 11 a.m. All the shows and concerts at this theater are free.
