The Ford F-150 is a powerful truck, spurred on by one of six engine options. The standard 3.3L V6 engine gets things started with 290 horsepower and, like the other engine options, has a 10-speed automatic transmission. Other engine options are:

• 2.7L EcoBoost^® V6
• 5.0L V8
• 3.5L EcoBoost^® V6
• 3.5L PowerBoost™ Full Hybrid V6
• High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost^® V6

Each of these engines tops 300 horsepower, and all but the 2.7L engine even surpass 400 horsepower. With the option of 4x2 or 4x4 capability, you can head on or off the road with ease.

Since the F-150 is a truck, you’re probably looking for towing capability. The F-150 has a maximum towing capacity of 14,000 pounds when properly equipped.

The F-150 has a total of eight trim levels.

The base trim is the XL. The XL kicks off things with a standard 8-inch touchscreen and the 3.3L V6 engine.

Next up is the XLT trim. If you load your truck bed often, you can opt for the tailgate step with the Tailgate Work Surface at this trim. With the XLT trim, you’ll get a standard power lock tailgate, which makes it easy to secure your truck’s tailgate without a key.

The Lariat trim upgrades the standard infotainment system inside the F-150. With it, you’ll have the SYNC^® 4 system with:

• 12-inch touchscreen
• Enhanced voice recognition
• Available Built-In Navigation

The King Ranch trim has a style all its own. Inside, you’ll find standard King Ranch Leather trim, a leather-wrapped shifter, and more.

The fifth trim is the Platinum trim. Like the King Ranch, the Platinum trim has many higher-end features. It also includes optional Max Recline Seats for the driver and front passenger.

Next up is the Limited trim. The Limited has true luxury with standard full-leather seats and front Multicontour seating with Active Motion^® massage functionality.

If you’re interested in off-roading, there are two trims made for it: the Raptor and the Tremor.  Both trims offer skid plates and multi-terrain systems, although they have different standard off-road-ready shocks.
