How Often to Schedule Oil Changes?
Typically, you will need to schedule an oil change for your Ford EcoSport anywhere from every 3,000 miles to 10,000 miles. The exact timing will ultimately come down the type of driving you do from day to day.
With the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitorā¢, your EcoSport though will let you know when you should be scheduling your next oil change. When you see this system put a message on the information display, you will want to go ahead and make your new oil change appointment for as soon as possible. It is important to note too that you should be sure to get the oil changed at least once every year.
At Every Oil Change
When getting the oil changed, you will also want various parts and systems inspected. Along with having the braking system, including the pads, rotors, hoses, and parking brake checked, you will also want the following inspected:
- Engine cooling system strength and hoses
- Exhaust system and heat shields
- Steering linkage, ball joints, suspension, tire-rod ends, driveshaft, and U-joints
- Wheels and related components
Each time you get an oil change too, you will want to have the tires rotated. This will help them wear at a more gradual and even rate so you can have them replaced less frequently.
Other Maintenance Requirements
